Are you a youth, ages 18-29 years, and unsure of your future? Do you need help in identifying and accessing services to assist you with your educational and employment needs? Then maybe the Youth Career Coaches at Mariner Resource Opportunities Network Inc. (M-RON Inc.) can assist you with focusing on your future!

M-RON Inc. is the Regional Economic Development Board (REDB) for Economic Zone 17 - the Baccalieu Trail. In partnership with the Labour Market Development Agreement (LMDA), M-RON Inc. has introduced an innovative program to mobilize youth living in the region.

A 4-Step process to connect with youth

The Youth Career Coach Program is designed to facilitate the flow of youth to particular service providers on the Baccalieu Trail and administer intervention when necessary.

The Program uses a 4 step process which includes:

identifying and/or connecting with community youth who are currently not receiving any career or employment supports;
assessing youth to determine their career and employment need;
referring youth to appropriate service providers to assist them with their identified career and employment need; and
following-up with youth to ensure the service is being provided and administering intervention when necessary.
