Vortal Defined
A vortal goes beyond the traditional website and even beyond the fairly recent web portal. Like a portal, a vortal may offer a wide variety of services for the web surfer including e-mail, links, and search engines, however a vortal has industry or subject specific content.
enVision.ca is a customized vortal - a virtual resource centre for the voluntary, community-based sector in Newfoundland and Labrador.
