               SPAN'S Board of Directors is comprised of volunteer members.

STAFF - SPAN

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Is responsible for:

  • the day to day running of the organization
  • crisis intervention
  • information and referral services

 

PROJECT COORDINATOR

Is responsible for:    

  -  the implementation of a number of projects, such as Christmas supports, Back to School, Prom Dreams, etc.

 

MANAGER & ASSISTANT MANAGER - FOOD AND CLOTHING OUTLET

Is responsible for:

- the day to day running of the Outlet

- preparing food hampers

- keeping records in accordance with the guidelines from the Community Food Sharing     Association

managing volunteer workers

SINGLE PARENT EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT PROGRAM (SESP)

COORDINATOR

Is responsible for:

  • the overall operation of the program
  • planning and strategy sessions with various government personnel
  • involved in the actual implementation of the program

EMPLOYMENT SERVICES OFFICERS

Are responsible for:

  • teaching classroom sessions on job readiness training
  • assisting each client to find employment
  • providing job search assistance until the client is no longer eligible for the   program

SUPPORT STAFF:

Are responsible for:

·         reception

·         telephone inquiries

·         typing, copying and other necessary work, much of it involving updating 

        cover letters and resumes for clients

VOLUNTEERS

FOOD AND CLOTHING OUTLET

  • assist in the daily activities of the Outlet, such as preparing hampers and sorting clothing
  • stock shelves
  • maintain the site

PROJECTS

  • support the above mentioned projects under the direction of the Project Coordinator

SUPPORT GROUP FACILITATOR

  • hosts the peer support group meetings (when active).
