St.Barnabas Skin Boot Church
It was the drive, inspiration and motivation of Canon J. T. Richards that inspired the building of this Anglican Church. He encouraged the people to sell sealskins and use the profits to build the church. On July 23, 1920 the church was started and it was because of the many pairs of skinboots sold for building funds that the church is known as " The Skinboot Church". This same church still stands and remains a place of worship today.Membership
The Town Council is a voluntary Organization of seven elected members.
