Community Sector News
The Community Sector Council is excited to announce that several dynamic speakers have been confirmed for the Provincial Forum. Connecting People, Organizations, and Communities: New Thinking for the Next Decade, taking place on September 29, 30 and October 1, will showcase speakers from the UK and Canada, including several from right here in Newfoundland and Labrador. Forum speakers all have a unique insight on the community sector and will no doubt provoke thoughtful discussion.
Confirmed speakers include Tim Brodhead from the McConnell Family Foundation, Natalie Nicholles from nef consulting in the UK, Rick Comerford from ACOA, Brenda Cameron-Couch and Michelle Gauthier from Imagine Canada, Penelope Rowe, CSC CEO and the Honourable Dave Denine, Minister Responsible for the Voluntary and Non-profit Secretariat.

Governor General to Host Youth Dialogue in St. John's (August 13, 2010) As part of her "Can We Talk" series, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, will be hosting a youth dialogue in St. John's on August 18.
